Built in 1937, the Hanna House was a collaboration between the Hanna family and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is Usonian in style and is known particularly for its design based on hexagonal geometry. Owned by Stanford University since 1975, the house was damaged in an earthquake in 1989 and was restored by Rudolph and Sletten Construction and ARG (Architectural Resources Group). Rudolph and Sletten brought on Alward Construction as a subcontractor, through which Cregg Sweeney served as master builder on the restoration, overseeing the finished carpentry work involved with the seismic retrofit and repair.
